The new ward representation system will be a vast improvement over exclusively at-large elections. But ward representation doesn't automatically guarantee equal advantages to every neighborhood.
At a time when our city and Commonwealth face serious fiscal challenges, Ward 4 voters need a Councilor who is fully prepared to serve.
E. Henry Twiggs has a lifetime of political experience and a solid record of accomplishments as a community activist, dating back to the early days of the Civil Rights movement. He is also a highly regarded Democratic Party leader, who is chairman of the Ward 4 Democratic Committee, as well as the Springfield Democratic City Committee.
His personal history shows that E. Henry will be ready from his first day in office to tackle the tough issues and insure that city government serves the needs of our community.
E. Henry is answering the call to elective office because he knows neighborhood comes first of all. He'll fight for us at City Hall.
